Coming from regional cinema, Chello Divas is more a local film with local humour which is why it is a top notch film but the disadvantage is the pan India audience may not enjoy the same local humour like local audience did. Anyways, it was made for fun and nostalgic experience where it provides a lot, you will laugh, you will recall those memories and you might even get emotional. I mean the 2 minutes speech itself sounds more intelligent than the entire 130 minutes narrative, how absurd it is.
You see, the speech is about how we enjoyed those days and how we are gonna miss it but the visual surrounding of it is something different, i mean totally irrelevant. This is where the cinematic intelligence falls short, and by margin. Although, it has one final speech in the climax which is bit emotional but the fact is whatever is said in the speech hadn't actually happened in the film.
There is no message, thoughtful segments or intellectual portion in the film which makes it apart from quality film tag.
The film is about a group of friends studying in senior college, how they enjoy their college days, how they fool their teachers, how they trick each other for trolls, the love story, flirting and what not, it's almost everything that all of us have done in college days. Chhello Divas is a teenage drama full of laught riots, full of nostalgia and full of fun. Brief Review - A wholesome entertainer from nostalgic College days which lacks cinematic intelligence.
